in association with Homolka Hospital, Prague
The workshop is co-organized together with the "Modern Treatment of Arrhythmias Endowment Fund"
SPECIAL EVENT MARCH 2, 2013
International Electrophysiology Robotic Day
The EP Robotic Day has been designed for sharing the best practices among current users of the Sensei Robotic Catheter System.
It will consist of short presentations of different topics that should stimulate informal discussion amongst the participants.
Registration can be made via the electronic registration form placed on the workshop website in the Registration section.
There is no registration fee.
is my pleasure to welcome you together with my co-director, Professor Neuzil, to the next edition of the Prague Workshop on Catheter Ablation with Live demonstrations. Already 16 years have passed since the first meeting. We believe that we have accomplished our first mission during this period: to support education in the field of catheter ablation in the Czech Republic (and in Central and Eastern Europe). Czech Republic belongs to the most developed countries in catheter ablation and the spectrum of ablations covers all arrhythmias, including focally triggered ventricular fibrillation in patients with structural heart disease. Likewise, situation in Central European countries has significantly improved over this period of time. We feel that our second mission is becoming more pertinent now: to focus on promotion of international cooperation in electrophysiology. In our rapidly developing field, it is more and more important to meet our colleagues and exchange experience. Our ulti mate goal is to work together on improvement of techniques and strategies of catheter ablation and thus, maximizing the benefits while minimizing the risks.
We believe that you will find the scientific programme attractive. In practical demonstrations, we would like to show some novel strategies such as import of segmented scar from MRI into the mapping system to support VT ablation in patients with structural heart disease, to use MediGuide TM technology for catheter navigation, to show a case of alcohol ablation of the vein of Marshall in atrial fibrillation, different techniques of left appendage closure, renal denervation and others.
As usual, the scientific programme will be accompanied by a social event that will take place in central part of the city of Prague.
We wish you a pleasant and fruitful stay in Prague.
